Millions of years ago a prehistoric sea covered this land.
As it slowly evaporated, it left behind pure mineral layers deep beneath the earth.
Over time, rainwater seeps through stone and soil until it meets those ancient salt beds, becoming enriched and purified on its long underground journey.
When it finally resurfaces (natural spring), the brine is dried by the Andalusian sun and wind, transforming it into a salt that tastes rounder, softer than modern sea salts.
Free from microplastics and untouched by contemporary pollution, this salt remains pure like the ancient sea it came from.
Only a handful of natural springs around the world are still producing today, making this salt a rare chance to taste.
